**가정법 현재(Subjunctive Mood)**는 제안, 요구, 주장, 권고를 나타내는 동사(suggest, recommend, insist, demand, request, propose 등) 뒤에 오는 that절에서, 주어의 인칭이나 시제와 상관없이 동사원형을 쓰는 문법입니다. 비즈니스 이메일과 회의에서 자주 쓰이지만, 한국어 화자들이 “suggests that he goes“처럼 3인칭 단수 -s를 붙이는 실수를 자주 하는 부분이라 오늘 확실히 정리해 봅시다.
“I suggest that she submit the report by Friday.” (그녀가 금요일까지 보고서를 제출할 것을 제안합니다.)
1단계 — 기본 형태: 주어 + suggest/recommend/insist 등 + that + 주어 + 동사원형
동사가 3인칭 단수 주어(he/she/it)를 받아도 -s를 붙이지 않고 원형 그대로 씁니다.

2단계 — 부정문은 “not + 동사원형”
